"Nature revealed in every cup."

Our Coffee Journey
Fjellara Kaffe Norge is built on direct presence, not assumptions. Our journey begins in Temanggung, Central Java, where we work closely with local farmers to understand coffee at its source—its history, its people, and its process.
One of the key figures in this network is Mr. Susanto, who works closely with surrounding farmers and acts as a central point for collection and processing. Farmers bring their harvest to him, where the coffee is hulled, sorted, roasted, and prepared with consistency and care. This is also where knowledge is shared and quality is maintained across different varieties.
Through these relationships, we source not only Wild Luwak Coffee, but also Arabica, Robusta, and Liberica—each with distinct characteristics shaped by Temanggung’s volcanic soil and highland climate. During our visits, we tasted, discussed, and learned directly with the farmers, including reviewing certified Natural Arabica, officially evaluated through Indonesia’s specialty coffee certification system.
Our focus is simple: traceability, respect for origin, and small-batch quality. By staying close to the people behind the coffee, we ensure that what we share reflects real work, real places, and real craftsmanship.

Animal Welfare & Responsibility
Luwak coffee is often associated with animal abuse, and we understand the concern this creates—especially for Norwegian customers.
Our work is based on direct, personal involvement at the source. By being present and working closely with the people we source from, we are able to verify how the coffee is obtained and exclude practices that involve confinement or mistreatment of animals.
This allows us to confidently stand behind our coffee as responsibly sourced, with respect for both nature and animal welfare.
Why Trust Our Luwak Coffee?
Our Luwak coffee is not farmed.
Farmers in Temanggung harvest their regular coffee crops, while wild luwaks live freely in the surrounding environment. The beans are collected naturally as a byproduct, without breeding, confinement, or human intervention.
This allows us to guarantee Luwak coffee sourced without animal exploitation, respecting both wildlife and nature.
